DIGITAL INCLUSION IN NORTH WALES - OCTOBER 8TH 2013 - LLANDUDNO JUNCTION

To highlight the collaborative approach to Digital Inclusion in North Wales we are joint-hosting an event with our colleagues from across North Wales to show stakeholders, decision makers and the general public the benefits of being online, and our efforts to achieve this goal. With officers from the Welsh Government Digital Inclusion Unit, Local Authority senior officers, councillors and possibly AMs, this event is a key stage of our development where we will both demonstrate our work in progress whilst offering sustainable solutions to North Wales post initiative in 2015. The Event will be held at Conwy Business Centre Llandudno Junction in the County of Conwy. This is ideally placed equidistant along the North Wales coast and just 1 minute off the A55 Expressway. Please register interest in this event by calling Kevin Roberts, Area Broker North East Wales, on 07788 314711 or 01352 744037. Alternatively please email me

About

Get Online Wrexham Flintshire is a cross-county collaboration between both local authorities and CVCs to deliver Digital Inclusion in the region.
It is part of an overall Digital Inclusion Strategy from Welsh Government that funds Communities 2.0, an all-Wales project.

There are over 70,000 people classed as being digitally excluded in that they either have no access to or ability to use the internet or computers in general and this puts them at a great disadvantage in a digital age.
The team works across both counties to deliver training and engagement sessions to promote the use of online facilities such as information websites and shopping.
